2015 Bistro Awards winners Shana Farr and Kristoffer Lowe discus Concepts in Cabaret – how to create a focused show.

Shana Farr‘s Bistro award is specifically for her outstanding concept show “In the Still of the Night: A Poetical Journey Through the Music, Lyrics and Verse of Noel Coward and Cole Porter.” Her debut cabaret show, “Pure Imagination,” was followed by a tribute show to Julie Andrews, “Whistling Away the Dark.”

A classically trained tenor who grew up in Alabama, Kristoffer Lowe delivered “an enormously exciting cabaret debut” (in the words of our reviewer Mark Dundas Wood) last year with “Waiting for the Light to Shine” at Don’t Tell Mama.
