Jane Scheckter has been a constant source of style and sophistication on New York’s cabaret scene for decades, combining natural musicality with taste, emotion, and intelligence—all of which made her the perfect choice or the 2025 Bistro Award for Sustained Cabaret Artistry. Here she is performing “Looking Back,” a song composed by Mickey Leonard with lyrics by Scheckter and Roger Schore. Accompanying her on piano is another 2025 Bistro Awards honoree, Kathleen Landis, and on bass, Boots Maleson.
