Anaïs Reno is a New York City–based jazz singer and composer who studied jazz performance at SUNY Purchase. She has received several accolades, including the Ben Tucker jazz award in the American Traditions Competition, the Mabel Mercer competition, and the Julie Wilson Award. Reno has performed in such venues as Birdland, Carnegie Hall, Dizzy’s Club, Madison Square Garden, the Caramoor Jazz Festival, PizzaExpress and Ronnie Scott’s as part of the London Jazz Festival, the Edinburgh Jazz Festival, and others. Among her many appearances at Birdland was a week-long engagement filling in for Tierney Sutton in 2022.

Reno’s debut album, Lovesome Thing, celebrating Ellington and Strayhorn, rose to No. 6 on the JazzWeek Jazz Chart in 2021; that same year, she took part in a video with NYCNext, in which she sang Billy Joel’s “New York State of Mind” alongside stars including Idina Menzel and Stephen Colbert, and she sang “America the Beautiful” for the Mets/Yankees 9/11 game on national television. In February 2024, Reno released a live recording made at London’s PizzaExpress. She recently released her second studio album, Lady of the Lavender Mist, under the Club44 label, with Peter Bernstein, David Wong, and Joe Farnsworth.
