Alexis Greene

Alexis Greene is an author, arts journalist, and editor. Her many books include a biography of the Off-Broadway producer Lucille Lortel, The Queen of Off-Broadway (Rowman & Littlefield) and a recently completed biography of the playwright and director Emily Mann, Emily Mann: Rebel Artist in the American Theater. Alexis and her husband, Gordon R. Hough, live part-time in New York City and part-time in upstate New York, where Alexis has begun to write true crime stories set in the early 20th century, in the remote villages of the Catskills.
