Aznavour As Is

Paris-born singer-actress-dancer Yvonne Constant came to the attention of New York theatre-goers in 1958, when she appeared in the original Broadway production of the hit musical comedy La Plume de Ma Tante, for which she received a special Tony Award. She’s gone on to appear in several other Broadway shows, films, television (45 times on Johnny Carson’s program), and a slew of cabaret engagements in over a dozen New York City clubs and elsewhere in the States and Europe (winning a Bistro Award in 1988). Not only has she remained on our shores, she’s remained a fine artist and a charming and delightful entertainer. She’s also remained enchantingly French. In her current show, she pays tribute to Charles Azvanour, accompanied by her longtime musical director, Russ Kassoff, at the piano.
